In short:- You must be at least 16 to hold a CelebIsland account, and at least 18 to use Dating, the Wallet, or Pro.
- We do not knowingly allow anyone under 16 to have an account, and we close accounts we learn belong to a younger child.
- Sexual content involving a minor is never allowed, is removed immediately, and is reported to the authorities.
- Parents and guardians can reach us directly to report a concern about a minor’s account.
Minimum ages
| Feature | Minimum age |
| A CelebIsland account | 16 |
| Dating | 18 |
| Wallet | 18 |
| Pro membership | 18 |
These ages are set out in our Terms of Use and apply everywhere on the platform.
Zero tolerance
Content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor is never allowed on CelebIsland, in any form. It is removed as soon as we become aware of it, the account responsible is permanently banned, and, as required by law, we report it to the appropriate authorities.
If we learn an account belongs to a child under our minimum age
We close the account and remove the data associated with it, in line with our Privacy Policy. If you believe an account belongs to someone under 16 (or under 18 for Dating, Wallet, or Pro), report it using the profile’s Report option, or email support@celebisland.com.
Advice for parents and guardians
- You can report a teenager’s account directly to us if you have a safety concern, even if you do not use CelebIsland yourself — write to support@celebisland.com.
- Encourage teenagers to keep their profile information limited, use the Block and Report tools, and never share passwords or one-time codes with anyone, including someone they have met only online.
- Live features (Airwave, Spaces, TV) and Reels/Watch are public-by-default unless privacy settings say otherwise — review privacy settings together with a younger family member.
What we do not yet have
Honestly: we do not currently run automated age-verification (ID checks) or dedicated parental-control dashboards. Age limits today are enforced through registration rules, reports, and account review by our Trust & Safety team, not automated document checks. We are not going to claim a stronger technical safeguard than the one that actually exists.
Reporting a child safety concern
Email support@celebisland.com with subject line URGENT – CHILD SAFETY. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) / Nigeria Police first.
