Seller Policy

Draft pending qualified legal review. This page was written in plain language by the CelebIsland team to describe our real, current practices. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not final legal counsel. If something here looks wrong, unclear, or out of date, please contact us and we will fix it.

In short:
  • List honestly, describe the item accurately, and only list what you actually have and can deliver.
  • You are responsible for fulfilling what you sell — CelebIsland does not ship, store, or inspect your items.
  • Buyers pay through the Market checkout from their CelebIsland wallet; you are paid after delivery plus a short holding period.
  • You must accept these Seller Terms before you can publish your first listing, and every listing is automatically checked against our prohibited-items list.
  • Selling prohibited items, scamming a buyer, or repeated disputes against you can get your Market access removed.

Before you list

  • Only list items you own, have the legal right to sell, and can actually deliver.
  • Use real photos of the actual item where possible. Do not use a photo that misrepresents what the buyer will receive.
  • State the true condition (new, used, refurbished), price, and any limits (quantity, location, delivery method) in the listing itself, not only in a message afterwards.

Prohibited items

The prohibited items list in our Marketplace Terms applies to every listing you create. Listings are automatically checked when you publish or edit them: clearly prohibited items are refused, and some listings are held for a quick human review before they go live. Listing a prohibited item can result in the listing being removed and your Market access being restricted or removed, without notice for serious cases.

Taking payment

Buyers pay at checkout from their CelebIsland wallet. You are not credited at the moment of sale: your earnings for an order are released after you mark it delivered and a short holding period has passed (currently 3 days), and are held while a dispute on that order is open. If a refund is approved for an order, the order amount is taken back from your balance, the item’s stock is restored to your listing and the order is cancelled. If you agree to take payment any other way, that is outside the platform and you must keep your own records.

Delivering the order

  • Deliver, or make the item available for collection, within the timeframe you stated in the listing.
  • If you cannot fulfil an order after payment, tell the buyer immediately; the buyer can request a refund from the order page and it will be returned to their wallet.
  • Keep proof of dispatch or handover where you can — it is what we will ask for first if a dispute is raised.

If a buyer opens a dispute

You will be notified and given the chance to respond with your side and any evidence (messages, proof of delivery, photos). Our team reviews both sides under the Buyer Protection Policy and reaches a decision. Repeated, upheld disputes against the same seller can lead to a permanent loss of Market access.

Boosted listings

Boosting a listing for extra visibility is a paid, optional feature. Once a boost has started running, the money spent has already been used to deliver the placement and is not refundable, in line with our Refund Policy.

Taxes

You are responsible for any tax that applies to what you sell. CelebIsland does not withhold or file tax on your behalf for Market sales.
