Davido, Rema, Burna Boy and Ayra Starr are on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album

Four Nigerians on an 18-track global record alongside Shakira, Stormzy and The Rolling Stones. This one is bigger than it looks.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino published the tracklist for the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, and four Nigerian artistes are on it. Premium Times reported the lineup, built around the theme "Football Unites the World".

  • Rema — "GOALS", with LISA and Anitta
  • Ayra Starr — "SHOW ME", with Latto
  • Davido — "NO PLACE LIKE HOME", with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado
  • Burna Boy — "DAI DAI", with Shakira

The 18-track album also features Future, Tyla, Stormzy, Daddy Yankee, Jessie Reyez, Shenseea and The Rolling Stones. The tournament is hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Why I think this matters more than a chart position

A number one is a moment. A World Cup album is a fixture. This record will be playing in stadiums, in adverts, in bars in cities that have never knowingly listened to a Nigerian song, for the better part of a year. Four of those slots are ours, and one of them is a Burna Boy and Shakira record, which would have sounded like a joke ten years ago.

The quieter win is Ayra Starr. Putting her on a global tournament album at this stage of her career says the people picking these lineups are no longer only reaching for the two or three names they already know.

What do you think?

  • Which of the four collaborations are you most curious about?
  • Is a World Cup album still a big deal, or does streaming make it a formality?
  • Who should have been on it and was not?
