Okey Bakassi, born Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule on 23 October 1969 in Mbaise, Imo State, is one of Nigeria's most durable entertainers. He studied agricultural engineering at Rivers State University, graduating in 1992, then went into stand up comedy rather than the field he trained for. Three decades on he remains a fixture of Nigerian comedy and Nollywood, hosting It's Okay with Okey on Lagos Talks 91.3FM and anchoring The Other News on Channels Television.
