Buju Banton, born Mark Anthony Myrie, is one of the most important artists in the history of Jamaican dancehall and reggae. His 1992 album Mr. Mention made him a star and set the pace for dancehall at the time. By the mid-1990s his music had turned more spiritual, most famously on 'Til Shiloh in 1995. His album Before the Dawn won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2011.
