Funke Akindele is putting four ex-BBNaija housemates in The Four. Smart or lazy?

Nigerias highest-grossing filmmaker has The Four landing in December, and the cast includes four former Big Brother Naija housemates plus Shoday making his Nollywood debut.

One view: it is smart business. Those people arrive with millions of followers already invested in them. Funke did not get to the top of the box office by ignoring what fills seats.

The other view: reality TV fame is not acting, and every slot given to a housemate is a slot not given to someone who trained for years and can actually carry a scene.

Her record makes this hard to argue with. December has become her month and she keeps winning it.

So which is it? And be honest - does a BBNaija name in the cast make you more likely to buy a ticket, or less?
