Pastor Scrappy, a native of St. Petersburg, FL holds all those titles and serves all those offices full time. He’s been captivating audiences with his laid-back Peace & God first personality since 2016 when he first with a message for the world with a different swag. Though shortly after the group fell apart. Not wanting to stop rapping for Christ, Scrappy formed his own group, The Faithful Few. It was during this Faithful Few era, that Chop It Up Tuesday’s @Worship City Church was born. Through Chop It Up Tuesday’s, Scrappy provided many local Gospel HipHop & Urban Gospel artists, a platform. Some of the artists that got their start on this platform went on to do big things for the kingdom. Chop It Up Tuesdays is a huge success and as a result Scrappy creates 1 Body Movement, a collective of local CHH & urban gospel artists on the come up.
In 2018, Matthew “Scrappy” Harris becomes Pastor Matthew “Scrappy” Harris, when ordained as Youth Pastor at Worship City Church where he serves under Pastor Chris St. Julian. 2019 brought 1 Body Movement to a whole new level. Teaming up with Strongbody Productions, artists were now shooting videos, releasing music on streaming platforms, ministering at Juvenile detention centers, and street corners. It was also when life changed again for Pastor Scrappy as he bumped into, Amari Grace, a former acquaintance, who would change THE game.
Since 2020 til today, Pastor Scrappy has prayed hard & worked well to level up 1 Body Movement as multiple award nominations for multiple artists on the squad started rolling in. Pastor Scrappy himself was nominated for multiple awards and then appointed as the CHH Division Chair for the Tampa Bay Gospel Industry Network. When not making music or ministering, Pastor Scrappy serves as a youth advocate & mentor to troubled and underprivileged youth. Living out & teaching God’s love to the youth as the Vice President of the King’s Court and Lead Mentor for Faith Youth Services.
