Here’s how to delete your Reddit account in simple steps:

Before You Delete:

Irreversible: Once you delete your account, it’s gone forever.

Posts Stay: Your posts and comments will still be there but will show as from a deleted account.

Subscriptions: If you have Reddit Premium, cancel it before deleting.

Linked Accounts: If your Reddit is connected to Google or Apple, disconnect it first.

How to Delete Your Account on Desktop:

Go to reddit.com and log in.

Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner, then click on User Settings.

Go to the Account tab.

Scroll down and click Deactivate Account.

Type in your username and password.

Check the box to confirm that you want to delete your account.

Click Deactivate to finish.

How to Delete Your Account on Mobile:

On iOS:

Open the Reddit app.

Tap your avatar in the top-right corner.

Go to Settings > Support > Delete Account.

Confirm by entering your password and tapping Delete.

On Android:

Open your browser and go to reddit.com.

Request the desktop site (in settings of your browser).

Follow the same steps as on desktop.

Optional: Deleting Posts and Comments

When you delete your reddit account, your posts and comments stay visible. To delete them:

Go to your profile.

Click the three dots next to each post or comment.

Click Delete.

Optional: Download Your Data

If you want to keep a copy of your posts and comments:

Go to Reddit Data Request.

Click Request Your Data to get a file with all your data.
