Players of Diablo 4 compile a wishlist of foes for which they would like to see a return

The wait for the release of Diablo 4 is getting shorter and shorter, and the anticipation that has been building up for the next game in the series is starting to become more obvious. Some people couldn't help but share their own wish lists of the iconic foes they'd like to see return once the game is released. Given that the upcoming game is expected to attract both long-time fans and newcomers, this was understandable. Eager players have begun sharing their thoughts on other aspects of the game instead, now that the release date for Diablo 4 and the first batch of character classes have both been finalized and are no longer subject to change. This includes the types of demons that are currently roaming the land of Sanctuary as well as those that they are keeping their fingers crossed will appear in subsequent seasons and expansions. Recently, an experienced player by the name of SteelFaith posted a question on Reddit inquiring about the kinds of Diablo foes that other users would like to see make a comeback in Diablo 4. Naturally, the person who made the post also included their own wish in the form of a comment, stating that they "have always loved the elite guard of Diablo, the Hell Knights / Doom Guards," dating back to the first game in the series.

On the other hand, one commenter stated that they want to "see the secret zerg level" from Diablo 1's Hellfire expansion, and a few other users concurred with them. Another respondent would mention the "acid beasts" from D1 that were extremely difficult to deal with due to the large amount of damage that they were capable of dealing over the course of time. According to the responses that have been given, it would appear that the majority of players hope that a significant number of the antagonists from Diablo 1 will make a comeback this time around. As for whether or not they do, however, only time will tell, given that the current adversaries are pretty much set in stone already. However, the development team behind Diablo 4 frequently takes player feedback into consideration when making adjustments to the game, so it is possible that some of these wishes will be granted at some point in the distant future.
