Air Max 270,Supreme, for years now, has been at the forefront of popular culture, commanding lines blocks long. And with their influence, the streetwear imprint has often toed the line between odd, obscure, and popular — their Nike collaborations the clearest example of this.Like most releases prior, the silhouette comes in multiple colorways, one being far more eccentric than the rest. This pair, clad in near full camo, is exactly that, adding to the mix a pattern well-used across the label’s previous collections. Woodland prints cover the leathers entirely, framing the see-through TPU that accents immediately underneath. Branding, a signature for the New York legend, completes the upper atop, taking the form of red Swooshes and miniature box logos.
With Nike Shoes,Like its release counterpart this rendition is also bereft of any puffy mesh paneling usually seen on the Nike Air Max 96 silhouette, and instead shows off transparent windows throughout its side walls and on its toe boxes. Leather overlays on the lateral and medial panels as well as on the heels purloin most of the attention here as they are dressed with “Dark Army” camouflage patterns. Branding is present on the heels and atop the tongues, the former of which shows off a silver banner while the latter makes use of a box logo and the NYC imprint’s moniker spelled out in repeating fashion towards the top its olive hued throat. Insoles are also decorated with an oversized “Supreme” hit that runs its length. More “Speed Red” applications are seen on the Swooshes that land towards the rear. Midsoles elect to go with a muted green tone and come mated with all-black treading.
This women’s Nike Air Max 97 The Future is in the Air is inspired by the sky lantern and features a Sail, Infrared, and White color combination. Next, the pair features a Red to Orange gradient across the Air Max unit. In addition, gradient detailing covers the base that starts out in Yellow and ends in Blue. Following, 3M reflective wraps the shoes, multi-color adorns the tongue labels, and ‘The Future is in the Air’ branding hits the left heel pull tab to finish the look.Like that of its more futuristic counterpart, the Nike Air Max 97 writes the overarching themes atop its upper, the text applied in thick, handwritten font.
