Part I - Today's [30.10.20] discussion on "Grief & Loss", moderated by Kelechi Fluitt née Anyanwu, PhD, Director of Outreach HUCS (Howard University Counseling Service). We learned today, grief and loss is not just associated by death (e.g., job, home, finances); and there are stages to coping / recovery.
Any kind of loss - can trigger a grief reaction

Almost 4 months since she lost her husband. I found myself quickly being the strong one, which instantly put any emotion I felt aside. We live in two different states, therefore, I've shuffled back / forth from DC to ATL. It just felt good for my mom to hear & receive certain info, looking from the outside in.
Due to the pandemic, the state of MD - only allowing a total of 25 folks including your pastor to mourn with you. Churches closed & funeral homes practicing social-distancing.
